Mostyn's wants to provide you with the best experience possible whilst visiting this site, shopping for goods and taking delivery of goods. We are proud of the quality and value offered by our products and want you to be equally satisfied with your purchase.

We have set out in these Terms and Conditions to clearly explain the information we will collect from you, how we will use this information, and how your order will be processed. They specifically apply to the use of this Website and the placing of orders via customer services. They do not apply to our branches. Use of this Website

Mostyn's will do our utmost to ensure that availability of the website will be uninterrupted and that transmissions will be error-free. However, due to the nature of the Internet, this cannot be guaranteed. Also, your access to the website may also be occasionally suspended or restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance. or the introduction of new facilities or services.

This website is for your own personal use and you are not to download (other than page caching) or modify it, or any portion of it, except with express written consent of Mostyn's. All images on the site are copyright Mostyn's 2006 unless otherwise stated.

You must not use the website in any way that causes, or is likely to cause, the website or access to it to be interrupted, damaged or impaired in any way.

You understand that you are responsible for all electronic communications and content sent from your computer to us and that you must use the website for lawful purposes only.

Colour Matching

We have taken a great deal of care to ensure that images shown on this website are as accurate as possible. You should be aware that monitors used to view this website can significantly alter the appearance of colours.

For best results you should view your monitor with subdued background illumination, and with contrast and brightness controls set to neutral positions.

You should also set your monitor to a colour temperature of 6500K or use the "sRGB" controller option. There are commercially available colour checking tools that you can use if exact colour matching is a major concern. You should contact your monitor supplier or support organisation if you need help with this.

Cookies

Cookies are used in the online shop to keep track of your cart contents, remember names and addresses when you ask for them to be remembered and, when relevant, keep you logged on.

Cookies are not used in any way that abuses your privacy or security.

We will protect and secure this information from unauthorised use. We will only pass such information to other parties, such as carriers, if it is necessary for the fulfilment of your order.

Updates, Errors and Omissions

We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information published on this website and that the site is kept up to date. However, the documents and images published on this site may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. We make no representations about the suitability of the information and images presented on this site. All such information and images are provided on an "as is" basis. However, should any such inaccuracy or error result in the supply of goods be of unsatisfactory quality or not fit for purpose then we will cancel your order and provide a full refund. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these Terms and Conditions.

If a price error is made and a product is listed at an incorrect price, we maintain the right to refuse, cancel or refund any orders placed at the incorrect price.

Although we will try to ensure that out of stock or discontinued products are not listed on the site, the fact that a product is shown on the site does not mean that it is currently available for sale.

Price Promise

Mostyn's believe that the combination of price, service and quality they provide is unrivalled. However should you find the same items available elsewhere in the UK at a lower price, we will match that price.

If you have already purchased from us and then find the same item available in the UK at a lower price within 7 days of delivery to you, we will refund the difference.

No Quibble Guarantee

All goods supplied should be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If they are not we will cancel your order and provide a full refund. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these Terms and Conditions.

On top of this for non-faulty goods, Mostyn's proudly offer a no quibble money back guarantee. We will gladly refund your money should you return the item to us within 7 days of delivery.

Please ensure that you retain all packaging and that the items you are returning are in their original condition. It is important that curtains do not have their tape header strings pulled. You should follow the returns procedure as laid out below to claim your refund.

Unfortunately we cannot refund the despatch postage and packing and the return postage unless the goods are not of satisfactory quality or not fit for purpose.

Placing An Order

  1. Click a Shop Online button
  2. Select a Colour Tone Group (you can also use the search box)
  3. Select a Design/Colour
  4. If necessary, click on an image to enlarge (it is particularly important to view the enlarged fabric swatch for a detailed view of the material)
  5. Enter the quantity against each size or product that you require
  6. Click "Add To Shopping Basket" (at the bottom right of the page)
  7. Continue selection of other items
  8. If you want to make any changes at any time, click "view basket"
  9. Once your selection is complete, click "checkout now"
  10. Select Country for delivery, also tick box is separate delivery address from card holder
  11. Enter details as prompted including "Class of Service" from drop down list
  12. When complete, click "next"
  13. Complete next page, and click "next"
  14. You are then transferred to WorldPay for secure entry of your payment

During checkout you are prompted first for a country and then a class of service. You should select the options that apply to the delivery address. Selecting the wrong options in relation to the delivery address will result in a delay to your order whilst the discrepancy is resolved.

Payment Methods

Mostyn's use WorldPay® as a secure method of online payment. We accept the following credit or debit cards: MasterCard, Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Purchasing, JCB, Solo and Switch. You should note that not all international versions of these cards are accepted by WorldPay. Mostyn's has no control over the rejection or acceptance of your card; it is entirely a matter between you and WorldPay. Neither does Mostyn's know or have access to your card number or other details.

You can choose to pay by cheque, but cannot order online with this payment method. The cheque together with your order and contact details should be posted to Customer Services at the address shown below. Your order will not begin processing until your cheque has cleared.

Order Acceptance

You will receive an email within a short period of time confirming that your order has been placed.

Within 8 working hours of receiving your order, we will perform an initial check on stock availability and your order details. We will email you if we have any queries or if we require further information. Should there be a problem with stock availability, we will let you know how long we expect it will take for stock to become available. You will be offered the options of: waiting for stock, switching to a mutually agreed alternative (there may be an extra charge or a refund due and this will result in a new contact for the supply of the agreed alternative) or cancelling your order with a full refund.

Order Cancellation

You may cancel or amend an order at any time between placing the order and the goods been packaged for despatch. You still have the option of our No Quibble Guarantee after this time (see above), but this may mean that you incur postage and packing charges.

Delivery Procedure

Mostyn's use independent carriers to deliver your goods. We will deliver within 5 working days of receiving your order provided the item is in stock. If there is an unexpected stock availability problem as we are picking your order, we will contact you and offer the options of: waiting for stock, switching to an alternative (there maybe an extra charge or a refund due) or cancelling your order.

We will email you with the carrier's delivery reference when we despatch the goods. You will then be able to track your delivery using the carrier's own website and resolve any delivery queries directly with them.

Delivery will be attempted by the carrier to the Delivery Address supplied by you with your order. If delivery cannot be made a card will be left. You will then need to contact the carrier as per the details on the card to make arrangements for collection from the carrier's depot.

Returns Policy and Procedure

We want you to be pleased with your purchase, if for any reason this is not the case. Please follow this procedure:

  1. Ensure that you retain all packaging and that the items are kept in original condition.
  2. With curtains, it is particularly important that the header tapes are not pulled.
  3. Within 7 days of delivery, contact our Customer Services to obtain a returns number. It is important that we know a return is due so that we can contact you if it does not arrive.
  4. Arrange for the return of your goods, including all packaging and clearly labelled with the returns number, to:

    Web sales cannot be returned via one of our branches.
  5. Upon receipt of your goods we will inspect them for fault. The No Quibble Guarantee will apply if the goods were received by us within 7 days of you receiving a returns number. Also the goods need to be in original condition or for there to be a manufacturing fault . We will contact you and let you know the results of our inspection.
  6. If the No Quibble Guarantee applies, you will be offered your money back, a replacement product or an alternative. There may be an additional cost or a refund for an alternative should there be a difference in price. The choice of which option to choose will be entirely your own.
  7. Unless we consider that a manufacturing fault exists, we will not refund the cost of delivery and return postage and packing.
  8. Should you disagree with the results of our inspection, you should refer to the section on Resolution of Disputes below.
  9. Your statutory rights are not affected by this Returns Policy and Procedure.

Resolution of Disputes

Our aim is to resolve your complaint straightaway.

If we haven't resolved your complaint within 7 days, we will contact you:
  1. Explaining why we haven't managed to resolve your complaint
  2. Let you know how long we expect to take to resolve it
  3. Giving you the name of the member of our staff who is dealing with your complaint

In rare cases, were we cannot resolve complaint, we will regularly contact you every 7 days to keep you up to date with progress towards resolution.

In the case where your complaint is particularly complex, Customer Services will pass your case to our senior management who will continue to try to resolve it.

In the unlikely event we can't reach an agreement with you by the end of eight weeks, we'll send a letter to the delivery address explaining our final position, or giving reasons for the delay in resolving your complaint and an indication of when we expect to reach a conclusion.

If you are not satisfied with our progress at this stage, we will support your right to take your case to a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (or other such independent arbitrator as is acceptable to both of us).
